Dallas Homes, Living and Community

Dallas real estate  has maintained its value over the past few years, while many other markets around the country have struggled. Many people that relocated here comment on how clean the cities are. Families love the area because the Dallas Independent School System is considered one of the best school districts in the country. There is a very large selection of amazing private schools to choose from as well. Retirees are buying Dallas homes because there is no state tax and you get a better value for your money in the Dallas MetroPlex market. Many Dallas residents find that their families either grow or shrink over the years and may be in need of a larger or smaller home. These people have grown to love the Dallas area so much that they refuse to look anywhere else. Luckily, they don’t have to!

Dallas County residents commonly refer to themselves as Dallasites, as there is no easy explanation for “MetroPlex” that properly describes the 12 County Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan areas  that is home to 6 million people and is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States. The economy of the MetroPlex is no longer driven by oil and cotton alone, but has been greatly diversified by telecommunications, computer technology, banking and transportation. Loughborough University has named Dallas a Gama World City. The terrain of the Dallas area  is basically flat, with an average elevation around 500 feet. It does get HOT in the summer and the year around climate is moderate. But, snow will bring the area to a halt.

The Texas “Tude” (attitude) always involves a God, Mother and Apple Pie mentality along with fierce loyalties to Alma Mata (both high school and college) and professional teams in winning seasons. “Don’t Mess with Texas” is more than just a motto…it’s part of every Texans’ birthright. Yes, football is the King of sports, especially on Friday nights, when most high school games are played. You will be amazed to see the enormous number of soccer players of all ages, sexes and races playing on the numerous soccer fields around the Dallas MetroPlex area.

Plano Homes for Sale

Plano real estate was farmland just a few years ago and is now the 9th largest city in Texas. We believe the name Plano came from the Spanish word for flat. That does describe the terrain of the area, but does not  describe the growth, the spirit and the influence of the Plano community. Home to some of the largest corporations in America (Perot Systems, Electronic Data Systems, Frito-Lay, Cinemark Theatres, UGS and JCPenney). Plano offers many employment opportunities and diversity of employees from all over the world coming to corporate headquarters temporarily or permanently.
