The original Collin County Courthouse is still standing in the historic downtown square of McKinney. At the Historic Collin County Courthouse, the McKinney Performing Arts Center was reborn in 2006. This 480 seat, performing arts center is suitable for intimate arts events, lectures and performances. In addition to the theater, MPAC includes several multi-purpose spaces, including a reception hall, auditorium, rehearsal space, audiovisual equipped classrooms, art gallery and executive suites.
Outdoor and sports lovers will find much to love in McKinney. The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary is a 289 acre outdoor preserve and nature museum. The Marshall's play at the new Ballfields at Craig Ranch, a 14 field, 75 acre baseball, softball and physical training complex. The McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch is located next to the ballfields and features soccer fields that are tournament ready.
The new Tournament Players Club is at Craig Ranch, it is the only golf course in Texas that is owned and run by the PGA Tour. The TPC is one of nine beautiful courses in McKinney which is home to a number of professional golfers and world class golf instruction.
